Christmas at the Queen’s raises over £2,500

Hosted by Pinney Talfourd on Friday 7 December, this year’s ‘Christmas at the Queen’s’ event was the most successful to date, raising £2,578.70 for charity.

A full crowd at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch enjoyed a selection of feel-good Christmas songs and carols performed by local choir, Dawn Chorus, led by Paul Rhodes.

Alongside them, the choir from Dagenham Park Church of England School also sang a number of festive songs.

The record total was raised in aid of the Queen’s Theatre charitable trust and Pinney Talfourd’s own charity of the year, Tapestry, who support members of the local community with care, wellbeing, health and dementia needs. Funds raised are divided equally between the two charities.

Local businesses supported the event by donating some fabulous prizes, ranging from restaurant vouchers, champagne, a Fortnum & Mason Family Hamper and even a pair of VIP Tickets to the PCA Masters Event.

Once all the singing was over, a selection of festive refreshments were available for all, courtesy of Pinney Talfourd.
