Pinney Talfourd Solicitors recently hosted an event where local businesses in Upminster had the opportunity to engage directly with their Member of Parliament, Julia Lopez, and Richard Holden MP, Chairman of the Conservative Party, regarding the Chancellor’s Spring Budget.
This exclusive briefing, held at Pinney Talfourd’s Station Road office in Upminster, brought together a diverse array of local business from Havering and wider Essex. The discussion revolved around various measures outlined in the Budget, with a particular focus on their implications for the local economy. Local business leaders were given the opportunity to present their questions and concerns to both Julia Lopez MP and Richard Holden MP in a Q&A session.
“Julia Lopez and Richard Holden graciously attended our Upminster office and engaged in discussions about the Spring Budget and its implications for business. We had approximately 60 guests from local businesses and organisations across various sectors, all eager to hear directly from Julia and Richard about the Government’s thought process and intentions in the Spring Budget, as well as the practical consequences for us. Julia and Richard both conveyed confidence in the Government’s present and future plans for business, emphasising their commitment to business growth and placing businesses at the center of plans for a successful and growing economy, both locally and nationally. They were keen to receive feedback and comments from the businesses in attendance, and everyone present was appreciative of the time they took to listen to us. Personally, I have no doubt about their engagement, focus, and intended support for the needs of local businesses in both the short and long term.”
