We are delighted to announce that our annual Charity Carol Concert, held on Monday, 2nd December 2024, was a resounding success, selling out to an enthusiastic crowd. The event raised £3,630.02 for our charity of the year, Haven House Children’s Hospice, and the Queen’s Theatre Charitable Trust, thanks to the generosity of attendees, stallholders, and supporters.
This year’s concert featured a spectacular performance by The New Dawn Chorus, who led the choir in a heartwarming selection of traditional Christmas carols. The concert was further enhanced by the wonderful participation of children from Benhurst Primary School, who delighted the audience with their spirited singing and festive cheer.
Special appearances were also made by members of the Pinney Talfourd team, who joined the choir on stage to share in the spirit of the season. Their heartfelt performance added a personal touch to the event and highlighted the strong sense of community at the heart of the concert.
We want to extend our sincere thanks to all the stallholders who participated, offering a range of festive treats and handmade goods. The support of local businesses contributed significantly to the event’s success, from advertising in our songbook to generously donating prizes for our charity raffle.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, or donated to this year’s Charity Carol Concert,” said Philip Cockram, Managing Partner. “The generosity shown by our community has been overwhelming, and we are thrilled to have raised such a substantial amount to support those in need. A special thank you to The New Dawn Chorus, Benhurst Primary School, and all our wonderful stallholders for making this event truly memorable.”
Thanks to the generosity of those involved, the concert raised £3,630.02, which will be divided equally between the two charities mentioned. We look forward to continuing this tradition of charitable giving and community engagement in the years to come.
