Christmas at the Queen’s raises over £2,750

Hosted by Pinney Talfourd on Monday 16 December, this year’s ‘Christmas at the Queen’s’ event was the most successful to date, raising £2,777.10 for charity.

A full crowd at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch enjoyed a selection of feel-good Christmas songs and carols performed by local choir, Dawn Chorus, led by Paul Rhodes.

Alongside them, the choir from Concordia Academy also sang a number of festive songs.

The record total was raised in aid of the Queen’s Theatre charitable trust and Pinney Talfourd’s own Charity of the Year, Havering Association for People with Disabilities (H.A.D), who provide a broad range of services and activities for people with physical disabilities and carers in the London Borough of Havering with the object of improving their quality of life, promote independence and meet their physical, emotional and recreational needs. Funds raised are divided equally between the two charities.

Local businesses supported the event by donating some fabulous prizes, including, flowers, prosecco and chocolates, a John Lewis luxury hamper and even a huge bundle of tools and remote control trucks from ITS.

Once all the singing was over, a selection of festive refreshments were available for all, courtesy of Pinney Talfourd.
