Haven House Children’s Hospice

Pinney Talfourd appoints Haven House Children’s Hospice as their 2024/25 Charity of the Year

12/06/2024

After raising £9,753.62 for Parkinson’s UK, our last Charity of the Year, staff were given the opportunity to vote for the firm’s new charity of the year. After a week of voting, we are delighted to confirm that Haven House Children’s Hospice emerged as the clear winner.

Throughout the next 12 months, our staff will actively participate in various fundraising events and initiatives to raise as much money as possible for this wonderful cause.

Haven House Children’s Hospice

Haven House Children’s Hospice cares for seriously ill babies and children up to the age of 18, creating a loving and warm environment for them and their families during their toughest times.

They offer round-the-clock care at their hospice in Woodford Green, as well as through outreach services in the home and local community, providing day care, overnight stays, end-of-life care, and bereavement support.

Additionally, Haven House enriches the lives of the children with activities such as sensory play, music therapy, and physiotherapy, ensuring families have quality time together from the moment of a devastating diagnosis.

Neri Gokyay, Corporate Partnership Executive at Haven House Children’s Hospice comments:

“We are so excited to have been chosen as Pinney Talfourd’s Charity of the Year! At Haven House we care for seriously ill babies and children, by creating a loving and warm environment for them and their families while they go through the toughest of times. Working with companies like yours means that we can continue to provide specialist care whenever and wherever families need us, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We cannot thank you enough!”

Catherine Loadman, Partner and Head of the Pinney Talfourd Charity Committee comments:

“I am extremely happy that our staff members voted overwhelmingly for Havens House Children’s Hospice to be our charity for the year 2024/2025. We are looking forward to working with the charity over the next year and organising events to raise funds, including dress down days, bake sales, raffles, quizzes and I am sure we can persuade some of our staff once again to do something out of their comfort zone to raise funds.”
