We are keen to hear from a talented and ambitious Lawyer to be part of our busy Court of Protection Team covering Essex and London.  Working alongside the teams Panel Deputy, you will ideally have an in depth knowledge of the Deputy Standards and in turn be able to deal with day-to-day Deputy General Management. This includes working with clients who have been victims of serious financial abuse or have complex financial needs. You will also have experience dealing with Court applications for Deputyship Appointments, Statutory Wills, Estate Planning and Trust related matters.

You will be required to take part in and initiate marketing, networking, and other business development activities in order to maintain and develop work from both existing and potential clients.

Amongst your day to day duties, you will:

  • Carry out all necessary conflict, money laundering and ID checks
  • Undertake a range of admin duties including data entry, completion of forms, managing diaries and travel, expenses, research, drafting of documentation, booking of events, meeting preparation and more
  • Liaise with other areas of the business such as accounts/marketing teams
  • Provide Audio typing (Bighand) and copy typing as required
  • Liaise with clients and third parties as instructed by Lawyers
  • Attend to clients, delivering documentation as/when required
  • Provide reception cover when needed
  • Deal with new business enquiries, follow up enquiries and provide accurate record keeping
