Pinney Talfourd attend SNAP Fundraiser

Pinney Talfourd LLP were delighted to send a ten strong team to last night’s SNAP fundraiser, hosted by the Brentwood School, free of charge.

The evening started with a glass of bubbly followed by tasting of six wines with a twist. Three ‘experts’ playing characters gave a name of each wine and tasting notes and each table had to guess which of the experts was telling the truth.

The ‘experts’ had the room in their hands thanks to their comical characters. Sadly, Pinney Talfourd didn’t win but a great time was had by all, and it was all about raising funds for the children.

Fundraising from the local business community provides them with vital funds. The charity needs to raise £930,000 (yes £930,000) every year just to maintain their current level of activities. A grand total of £17,000 was raised on the night from sale of tables, raffle tickets and an auction, where activities such as wine tasting for 12, two-nights in the Cotswolds were hotly contested, with one item being ‘won’ by a bid of £2,000. SNAP

SNAP, soon to be celebrating their 30^th year, are a charitable organization dedicated to helping children and young adults to the age of 25 with special needs. They provide a helping hand to parents with special needs children, engaging the children in fun and educational activities such as drama and activity groups, music therapy, multi-sensory issues and so much more. They allow the children to be themselves without fear of being judged for being different.

SNAP are a vital part of the special needs community in Essex and their passion was evident for all to see. They have registered 635 new families this year alone and have helped thousands of families every year. In 2017, Pinney Talfourd staff chose SNAP as the firm’s charity of the year raising over £11,000 for the charity.
