Pinney Talfourd is delighted to have partnered with the Havering and District Branch of Parkinson’s UK over the past year. Throughout this partnership, our dedicated staff have actively participated in a range of fundraising events, successfully raising an impressive £9,753.62 for the charity.
Parkinson’s UK funds research into the most promising treatments for Parkinson’s disease and offers comprehensive support to everyone affected by the condition. The organisation advocates for fair treatment and improved services for those living with Parkinson’s.
Our staff have successfully raised funds through various activities over the course of the year, including bake sales, quizzes, and our monthly dress-down day donations.
In May 2023, Private Client solicitors Andrew Grant and Kareem Cole participated in the Ride 100 event, a challenging 100-mile bike ride through London and Essex. Their efforts raised £385 through sponsorship.
In December, our annual Charity Christmas Concert raised a grand total £1,829.25 for Parkinson’s UK.
In April, our charity committee hosted a Curry and Bingo night for clients and business contacts, featuring some questionable bingo calling by our Partners, Catherine Loadman and Anica Holderness. This event raised a total of £885.
Additionally, eight members of our staff have signed up for the Dare Skywalk Edge at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Although the original date was postponed, the team looks forward to the rescheduled date of June 23, 2024. This effort has already raised £945 for the cause. If you would like to sponsor this fundraiser, you can do so by visiting our fundraising page.
“It has been a pleasure to work with the local branch of Parkinson’s UK as our Charity of the Year 2023/2024. I am so pleased with the amount of money we have been able to raise and donate to the charity, which is over the target we set for ourselves for the year. I would like to thank the charity committee members and all the staff at Pinney Talfourd once again for another year of amazing fundraising and of course their family and friends and out clients and contacts who have all contributed to raising funds for such a worthy cause.”
